Now, a lot of people ask me, "Who are these newsletters for?"
And I've got a simple answer. If you want to be in the top 10
percent of your profession, these newsletters can help you get
there.
I've got a simple truth for you. Most people don't do anything
to build their business. They're what I call the mediocre
middle. If you do wish to build your business, newsletters are a
good tool for this and you will easily move into the top percent
of your industry, period. I promise you.
Why do newsletters help you do this? Two reasons.
One is, they help you build a reputation as a trusted expert.
Now, the thing is, no one wants to be seen as a salesman. You
need to position yourself away from being seen as a salesman
into being regarded as an expert. Now, if you're an expert, it
means that people come to you, rather than you go to them. It
means they have a relationship with you and they trust that you
are going to help them.
You're positioned as someone who's an advisor, someone who has
the best interests of their clients in mind, rather than someone
who's just pushing a product. Newsletters help do that, because
they allow you to publish information that is of help,
assistance and entertainment to your clients and prospects.
Two, they help you contact your clients on a regular basis. You
can keep your name in front of them. You show that you can help
clients on a regular or frequent basis. Newsletters help you
start that relationship. They help you build a relationship in
the inbox or the mailbox of your client. Now, not everyone is
ready to buy right away, but when they are ready to buy, you're
going to be the person they think of, that they trust, and that
they know.
Like I say, most people don't do any of this. But it's been
proven, time and time again, that if you want to be in the top
10 percent of your industry, if you want to make more money than
90 percent of other people in your industry, this is what you
must do, and newsletters are the perfect way to do it.
